Colin Rowe solved the mystery of his talk entitled ‘An Indecent Foreign Dance’. Of course it was the Waltz. Before this came to us from Austria, dancers had only touched hands. He also played some lovely waltz music. We were invited to get up and dance but no one took up the offer! At our July meetings members were asked to bring a 100 year old object. There were some very interesting things including a Baby Piano and Photographs plus memorabilia from the First World War.

On August 23 rd we have an outing to Wistow Rural Centre which is off the A5199 in Leicestershire. As well as a Model Village, Garden Centre and of course a café, there is a Maze made out of Maize. This year’s subject is the BFG (a Roald Dahl children’s book). We will leave Cedar Hythe at 2pm. There will be a few spare seats if anyone is interested. Contact Dorothy on 843652 for more
